Enjoying Prayer . . . For a Change
John Hawkins, Room 32

We all know that prayer is important. Jesus prayed...Elijah
prayed...David prayed...we’ve heard the lessons 100x.
Somehow that fails to change the fact that for many of us,
praying is awkward, artificial, lifeless and joyless. Think of this less as a class on prayer and more as an experiment in prayer. Instead of talking about prayer, we’ll spend our time praying--and in ways that really connect your heart with God.

Faith and Doubt: What If It’s Not Either-Or?
Joe Huffman, Room 43

We often think of doubt as the opposite of faith. Because of that, we are disappointed when we doubt and frustrated when we lack certainty. But is it possible that doubt could actually strengthen our relationship with God? This class, based on the book by John Ortberg, provides a candid look at the struggle everyone has with faith and doubt.
