ADULT CLASSES, Winter 2010
January - March

Sunday @ 9:30 a.m.

The Story of God
John Hawkins, Room 32

This is our foundational study for understanding Scripture. Too often Christians get lost in the details of the Bible and fail to see the beauty of the big picture. So what is the Bible all about? Is there one, sweeping story being told across all its pages, and if so, how do you and I live out this story today? (Note: This class will be similar in content to the 2004 class of the same title.)

Following Jesus without Embarrassing God
Joe Huffman, Room 43

Can you be involved at church without being consumed by it? Can you be rich without being materialistic? Can you be holy without becoming a monk? Discipleship today is not without its challenges! This course will offer candid discussion and helpful navigation around the obstacles we all face in living out our faith before a watching world.

Six-Week Discussion Groups begin Jan 6 & Begin Again Feb 17

Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m.

Desires, Priorities, and True Success
Robert and Sue Smith, Room 43

This group will use the popular Nooma videos to encourage honest discussion about the things in life to which we give priority and how we can align our definition of success with God’s.

Thessalonian Letters
Waymon Wren, Room 32

These often overlooked letters have a lot to offer, showing Paul’s excitement about the ways in which this young church powerfully received the Spirit and its new members are opening themselves up to God’s transforming work.
